Our previous UNE certificate was to 2015 standards, and since then, some categories have been expanded. This level of certification is most commonly required for reverse osmosis systems, yet we ensured that even our filter jug meets these exceptionally strict criteria.
Alkanatur Drops is also the first filter jug analyzed under UNE 149101 regulations, with testing conducted by the prestigious Oliver Rodés Laboratory, an internationally recognized authority in water analysis. UNE certification is not based on selective testing or isolated results. Instead, it evaluates performance across multiple impurity categories, including substances such as PFAS, heavy metals, pesticides, and other emerging contaminants, as well as parameters affecting taste and overall water quality.
Importantly, UNE certification is all-or-nothing. If a product fails to meet the required reduction thresholds in any single impurity category, it is disqualified from receiving the certificate entirely. There are no partial passes, no averaging of results, and no room for compromise. This makes UNE certification one of the most demanding standards in the water treatment industry.
